How to save a document?

To save a document, follow the steps:
Step 1: Click on Save or Save or Save As option from file or press Ctrl + S. Then Save As dialog box will appear.
Step 2: Choose the location from the left side of the box, where we want to save.
Step 3: Give the desired file name in the File name: text box.
Step 4: Click one Save button.

Differences between Save and Save As

  1. Save helps us to lastly preserved file with the latest content, while Save As helps to store a new file or to store an existing file to a new location with the same name or a different name.
  2. The  short-cut key of Save is Ctrl + S, while the short-cut key of Save As is F12.

Differences between Cut and Copy

  1. The Cut command removes the selected data from its original position, while Copy command creates a duplicate of the original.
  2. The short-cut key of Cut is Ctrl+X and the short-cut key of Copy is Ctrl+C.

Page Orientation

There are two following two types of page orientation supports in MS Word:
  1. Portrait: It is the vertical align of any page. It is taller and less wider than Landscape.
  2. Landscape: It is horizontal align of any page. It is more wider and lesser in height than Portrait.

Alt + F4 vs Ctrl + F4

By pressing Alt + F4, the current Word Document will be closed, but Word window will remain open. But, by pressing Ctrl + F4, the Word window will be closed.
