Micro Computer
A
Microcomputer is a small, relatively inexpensive computer with a microprocessor
as its Central Processing Unit (CPU). It includes a microprocessor (which
performs all logic and arithmetic operations), memory and minimal Input / Output
(I/O) circuitry mounted on a single Printed Circuit Board (PCB). It became popular
in the 1970s and 1980s with the advent of increasingly powerful microprocessor.
It is also known as Personal Computer (PC).

Application of Mini computer:
- It can be used at home for personal use.
- It can also be used in Schools. Colleges, etc.
- It can also be used in Bank, Rail, Post Office, etc.
Advantages:
- PCs are smaller in size as compared to other types of computer.
- It is very easy to maintain.
- It can be used for personal purposes.
- It is cheapest among all the other types of computer.
Disadvantages:
- It has low computational power as compared to Mainframe and Supercomputers.
- It has less storage device.
- Hackers can hack your system if it is connected to the internet and your sensitive data can be stolen.
- It is difficult to upgrade as desktop PCs have different motherboards for every type of processor.
